One Heart

The ingenuity of Technology

I went with my colleague up to PTA using a Tazz, the traffic was hectic during the time periods we used to travel. We had workshops that lasted for three days and every time i thought of the traffic my bones wanted to melt because of the traffic, PTA seemed to be in Mafikeng from JHB. However, yesterday i made a call to PTA over the telkom line. The person could hear me and i could hear them it was as if i was in two places at the same time, it was as if i was in PTA whiles in JHB. This is amazing, i mean just being in JHB i could talk with someone in PTA, i did not have to go through the traffic congestion, i could just be in JHB and still cause effect in PTA. I mean, think about it, when a person speaks to you and me we can hear them irrespective of all the other signals in the air(considering that a sound is a signal), our ears can filter out other things and hence allowing us to hear one another what a design (This was taken from Richard Feynman). I woke up this morning and my eyes could distinguish out of different spectrum of light what is what. I cannot find words to express this ingenuity, its just spectacularly amazing, its really still a wonder to me....

What’s In A Name

This has never crossed my mind as it does now, the name Jesus is a transliteration from a Greek word (Iesous) where else his original name was in Hebrew (Aramaic), this questions if the name Jesus has meaning.

Lets look at the beginning, what happened, lets return to the language of the holy scriptures so that we can relate and associate soundly with what the word of God is saying in today's generation, season and time.

Kassi/loxion

I just moved to Melville and have not even being greeted or greeted someone(cause the situation is so hard to allow such, il continue to try though), people are so conservative, its so different. My hometown is Kuruman, and there a home is not just the place where one puts his head, but the immediate people my neighbors and so forth. It was once said along these lines : "...a child is raised by a society...". Clearly we have moved away from such, i used to hear people complain about this, but its only hitting me now. It feels so weired where i stay, i dont look up to comming back to where i stay when i am from somewhere. I cannot really call it a home. Kuruman(kassi) reamains my home!!!. The yards are high walls, kinda like mind ur own bussiness. Fellow South Africans, if we still talk of Ubuntu and it does not begin at home, What a desception we are in!!!!.

Accidents

Today morning i was allowed to see an accident occur with my naked eyes, from its inception until the cars were stationary. I saw the guy who was at fault decide to make a uturn, it was as if he had forgotten something, so i would think that when he made the uturn his mind was on whatever he had forgottern, however to add more complexity to his situation, there was a bit of a curve behind him, so even when he looked at the side mirror it was not enough to make a good judgement. One car came behind when he was just in the middle of his lane, it was a lady with two kids in the car. She smashed into the other car making a uturn.

In this odeal i realised that it is really those seconds, that minute decision that really counts. Before the accident the guy at fault probably thought there would be a successful uturn, however, he was wrong. His not well informed decision caused him much and nearlly a fatal situation. Let us be careful of those moments, those minute moments for a small decision might not be small after all. I think, we need to always be where we are, if i am in a kichen let my mind as well be in the kichen, if i am eating let my mind as well be with the food. Another problem i saw was our reaction time or reaction attitude. The lady continued to step on her accelerator she never braked. I think this happened because the accident occured at the moment where she was about to change her gear, so it was already registered in her mind that she had to step on the accelerator afterwards. She could not change this protocol in her mind, it was fixed irrespective of the situation. The quetion is how do we optimise reaction time and reaction attitude ? for i believe the accident could have been avoided had her reaction time and attitude been correct. Anyway she is a woman, and i think the first thing that came to her mind were her children, and this could delay reaction time, and the fact that she is human, we tend to think these things will never happen to us, so she was overwhelmed with dibelieve at what was happening. For such situations one wishes that they were in a dream.

Just Do it !!

... Dare is a word of courage, not foolish bravery. It appeals to your inner spirit and says: "Are you sure you are ready for change?" It questions your stamina and your resilience on a new path. Dare also asks you to step far out of your comfort zone. Only then can you truly dream. Your dreams will feel more attainable. Your dreams become genuine visions, goals and objectives that can be practically laid out with confidence.

You will find that if you have dared yourself in a way that is personally challenging but also consistent with your spirit, your dreams will be vivid and vibrant descriptions of your aspirations. They won't be superficial statements that you blurt out to keep others happy.

Finally, the done part may sound a little obvious, but it's more complex than you think. The reason it's not, "go out and do it" is because you need to act and behave like you have already achieved. Done is a word of action. One part is about energy and physical motivation, the other part is more emotional. It's about acting like you are already achieving. It's about living the dream, not chasing it.

Now imagine for a moment you decided this is going to be the year for a new way of change. You need a more sustainable way of getting to what you want. I recently read in a wonderful magazine called Mind Shift that we need to redesign the whole world. I think we need to start with redesigning our lives. I dare you to dream it. I'm sure you'll do it.
